Webinar: Ending Homelessness From Social Housing – Part 2

A seminar sponsored by the Oak Foundation

Thursday 18th March

Being evicted from your home is a significant event, made more traumatic and impactful if that eviction results in homelessness. Being evicted into homelessness from social housing can be viewed as a failure of a housing system whose very purpose is to provide safe and secure, long term homes as the foundation of people’s lives.

In an experimental project sponsored by the Oak Foundation, Shelter Cymru has been working with Wales and West and Clwyd Alyn housing associations to explore how social landlords can move from low evictions to zero evictions that result in people becoming homeless.

This webinar is the first to hear the results of that work, together with good practice examples and in-depth debate over the best way forward for Wales.
