Section 55(2) of the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 sets out what ‘cannot gain entry’ means as a definition of homelessness.
CANNOT GAIN ENTRY:
- Illegal eviction
- Property squatted
- Mobile home (caravan or boat) but nowhere to place it
*LA cannot refuse to assist while someone is homeless in this situation, even if legal remedies are available.
